Director Andrew Jarecki's series "The Jinx: The Life and Deaths of Robert Durst," had everyone captivated when it debuted in 2015.
Besides bagging an Emmy, the series also became a cultural moment, dominating headlines and dinner conversations. And in an interesting turn of events, just hours before the last episode of the series aired, Durst was arrested for the murder of his longtime friend Susan Berman in New Orleans.
The series is now returning for a second part, which will follow the last seven years of Durst's life, from his arrest to his conviction and eventually his death on Jan. 10, 2022 at 78.
How 'The Jinx'led to Robert Durst's long-awaited conviction
"In Part Two, the filmmakers continue their investigation for the next eight years, uncovering hidden material, Durst's prison calls, and interviews with witnesses who had not come forward until now," streaming platform Max said about the upcoming series.
Max added that the series also includes "candid interviews with both prosecution and defense lawyers, as well as interviews with jurors and the trial judge."
