Chrysler recalled more than 97,000 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles for third-row seat belt issues.
The recalls cover model years 2022-2024 for Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles which may have seat belts in the third row that may not work correctly.
Vehicles that have seat belts that do not allow passengers to buckle or fasten do not follow the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 208, “Occupant Crash Protection” and 209, “Seat Belt Assemblies.” according to a NHTSA report.
The report claims that third-row seat belts that do not fasten increase the possibility of injury in a crash.
