Mega Millions players go purchase those tickets because this jackpot keeps growing! The Mega Millions jackpot for Tuesday's drawing has reached a new estimated grand total of $800 million.
The jackpot climbed to about three-quarters of $1 billion after no one won the jackpot in the last drawing on Tuesday. If a lucky player had won on Friday, they could've walked away with an estimated $371.6 million lump-sum payment after taxes.
Players on social media shared what they would do with the money if they had won the $740 million jackpot.
"$740 million?! I reckon that's enough to buy a whole lotta fancy clothes for myself and maybe even treat my momma to somethin' special," X user Stephanie White wrote in a post Friday.
"Holy moly!" wrote X user @robinsondie9871. "My lucky numbers are ready! Maybe this time it'll be me takin' that sweet, sweet cash and buyin' myself a brand new house with a pool."
Just two people have won a Mega Millions jackpot this year: First in March when a player in New Jersey walked away with a whopping $1.13 billion, and again in June when a player in Illinois won $552 million. Will you or your office pool be the third?
